"mystery" attachments in every e-mail sent

Every time I send an e-mail (with or without an attachment) three 1KB .gif
attachments are sent along with it. Any ideas how to fix this?

Delete the "normal.dot" Word template and let Word recreate it or stop using
Word as the mail editor.

Hi,

I'm trying to solve this for a client of ours.
We've gone through all the obvious steps, including checking if it happens
when the mail is sent through the server's Webmail - it isn't.

An icon, once used in a word document on this computer, is sent along all
the time.
We already recreated the normal.dot, stopped using Word as an editor,
checked the Rules settings, checked the Stationary, nothing to be found.
The attachment seems not to be present in RTF mails, but always in HTML
mails.

Does anyone now of additional steps to take, short of recreating the user
profile?

Thanks!

Hi,

I found another post suggesting to DELETE normal.dot, but after checking the
winword service process was not present anymore.
Guess what, it worked.
I'm terribly sorry to have wasted anyone's time.

Thanks anyway
