mystery 2nd page

I have a document that is only 2 pages, however when i open it up it says on
the bottom, 1/3 for the first page, and when you go to the second page it
says 3/3. this is word 2003 with SP2. does any one know where i can go to
fix this. When you print the document, it prints page one ok, page two is
blank and page three prints ok but it should be page 2. I need to find where
this document thinks there are 3 pages when there are only 2 pages.

There ARE 3 pages! Doesn't Print Preview show all 3?
Use View; Print Layout to see all 3 pages in their entirety. Delete the
blank page. To see page breaks turn on markers, the backwards P looking
icon in the toolbar.
If none of that helps, post back on your results. Be very specific in
your description.

Either you have two page breaks or you have an Odd Page section break
between pages 1 and 3. See http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/BlankPage.htm

Suzanne,
Thank you very much for your response and the link to your web page. That
helped me out! (Blank page in the middle of the document section).

Thank you,

I have spent an hour of my time trying to delete the 2nd page, and I can not
fgire it out.
I am not sure if things are changing too fast for me or what 5 years ago
when I worked for a laywer all I did was push "delete" or 'backspace' and it
would take it away.
I am not sure what to do but this is very frusterating, if any one knows how
to do that I would be forever greatful if you could tell me how to erase 2nd
pages.
THANKS!!!

Click on the ¶ button on your toolbar (assuming you have Word 2003 or
older). That will show you what's going on with that second page. I'm sure
there's something there - even if it's just blank returns.
