My WM5 PocketPC is installed OK, but I cannot sync it.

Dear friends:

My WM5 PocketPC is installed OK under Vista, and connects OK too, but
I cannot sync it.

The drivers are installed OK, when I plug it through USB, it sounds
(clink!!) OK as a successful connection, but the device doesn't appear
in the list of the devices that I can establish a partnership in the
Sync Center. The same device sync without any problem in other
computer running WinXP, however.

What can I do?

Thanks

Dear friends, yes I did it, but the solution I found was really crazy.

I borrowed an old PocketPC 2003 from a friend, I plugged it and it was
immediately recognized by my Vista computer, and a partnership was
established. After that, I connected my new WM5 PocketPC, and oh
surprise, it was immediately recognized by my Vista computer and also
a partnership was established. And after that, I removed the borrowed
PocketPC 2003 partnership.

Crazy, isn't it?
