My USB isnt reading or working?

I just got a new digital video camera, i tried to plug it into my usb port on
my computer, but nothing happens at all. is there some way i can reload my
drivers or something like that

You probably must install the software that came with the camera.

Matt,

I'm just curious if you were able to resolve your problem with the
previous post; otherwise, I had a similar experience recently and I may
be able to tell you how I got through it.

The problem I had was with the add hardware wizard not working. What
this particular computer would do is windows would show a new USB
device, but it wouldnt be able to install the basic drivers required to
use it. This included any USB device, specifically an mp3 player and
thumb drives (anything not previously installed).

Does windows do something when you plug the camera in/ did it ever do
anything when plugged in (there is an option if windows doesn't find a
driver for it to stop asking you, so it may have only asked the first
time the device was plugged in.)

Hi i'm like going through like the same thing also and i was wondering if
like someone could help me if its possible

i have been serching for hours and i have the same problem that windows
recognises my digital camera which is a vivitar 5150s when i plug it in
through usb it says found new hardware but then fails to find the drivers for
it even if i have my driver disc in and ckostovny reply is the only place i
have found someone with the same problem so if he or someone could reply to
help me out that would be great thanks
