Nicolas,

Check to make sure you downloaded and installed the correct drivers and
followed the directions exactly. That is, confirm that the drivers are
intended for use with Vista, for use with your model printer, and that the
directions are read, understood and followed. Post back with the results.

To Anyone!
I own a Lexmark X5250 All-In-One printer and it will not install on my new
Vista pc.
I've gone to the Lexmark website and downloaded the drivers specifically for
the Vista OS but continue to get a '32 bit' error messages.

Did you run the install "elevated?"

oops. Thanks. I was not in Vista when I answered him, and I have memory
lapses as I have gotten older.

hello
I just bought a new computer and I cannot install any of the hardware such
as my printer canon I960 or a simple mouse.
When I called canon, the tech. person told me that hardware drive should be
already build in, with window vista.....but no.
What should I do? when I try to install it, it does not recognize the
printer ( I do not have the printer software disk anymore).
Please help, as I am getting very frustrated.
Thanks

What resolution are you using over what interface with the 169.25 Vista
drivers for your 6800 to what type of display?

Did you check the website for Vista software and drivers?

The Vista x86 page is at
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/c...loadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=331&modelid=9388

The Vista x64 page is at
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/c...loadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=331&modelid=9388

As you can see, there is no driver available for Vista x64, but there is
software. If you are using Vista x64 you may not be able to resolve with
this printer.

All of the printer drivers included on the Vista dvds were provided by the
manufacturers so Canon is being a bit disingenious in saying that the driver
might be on the Vista dvd (or Windows Update website which would be more
accurate). If it was on WU they would have had it for their website since
they would have written it themselves and provided it to MS for inclusion.
(MS does not write printer drivers.)
