I have a ppt presentation of about 40 slides. When I try to open the slide to
full screen it either goes back to the first slide minimized or just ends the
full screen - any help?

Hi bslavin,

You will need to give us a bit more to go on, I think.

What are the settings on your SlideShow Settings pane? Are you using dual
screen or a laptop, or single screen? How are you activating the slide
show, which keystrokes? Is there already a slide show running? Is it the
same slide show?

Look in Slide show > set up show

Make sure that you have show on primary monitor chosen (assuming that you
are showing on your laptop / PC screen) You might also want to check that you
have show all slides and presented by a speaker checked

Did that answer the question / help?

Thank you. it turns out that the slide show settings were set to show only
the first 7 images. I have no idea how that changed. All OK now.

You should also be aware that some laptops using an ATI graphics cards
(I believe) get buggy displaying properly in a dual monitor mode. It may
not be anything to do with Powerpoint.
