I am unable to open any pictures I have saved (in any folders) without
receiving this error

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have continued with "SEND ERROR REPORT" and "DON'T SEND" and I also
selected the "CLICK HERE" to view what data this error report contains.

After I select any of these, the computer freezes up, locks up or whatever,
and I must press CTRL + ALT + DEL to end task, and try again. Nothing seems
to repair to reslove my problem.

I also performed several ( 5 or 6 times ) a system restore options, at a
date where everything worked properly and I still encounter this same
problem.

Today, I tried to reinstall my Windows XP Home Edition - Operating System
disc, (that came with the purchase of this computer over 3 years ago...) but
it will not let me install it because I have updated my XP regularly in the
past 3 years.

All other programs and functions of this computer operate perfectly, without
any delay or problems. It's ONLY in ALL of my picture folders.

WHAT DO I DO TO REPAIR THIS PROBLEM?

Thanks,
Paul

Please post a copy of the Error Report.

Make an exact note of the precise text of any error message. Minor
discrepancies can
make it harder to search for information about the error message.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Administrative Tools,
Event Viewer.
When researching the meaning of the error, information regarding Event
ID, Source
and Description are important.

HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;308427&Product=winxp

Part of the Description of the error will include a link, which you
should double click
for further information and you can copy using copy and paste.
http://go.microsoft.com/fw.link/events.asp
(Please note the hyperlink above is for illustration purposes only)

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the
error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a button
resembling two
pages. Double click the button and close Event Viewer. Now start your
message
(email) and do a paste into the body of the message. This will paste the
info from the
Event Viewer Error Report complete with links into the message. Make
sure this is
the first paste after exiting from Event Viewer.

In Event Viewer there is no facility to print Error Reports. A
workaround is copy and
paste the Error Report into an email, send it to yourself and print off
the copy in your
Inbox or your Sent Items folder.

Hope this helps.
