my pcu usage help me

my pc is whacked plz help me. my cpu usage goes from 0% to 100% and i dont no why plzzz help me it says i have 38 proccesses running when i first start my pc?????
 
Need more info. What process or program is making the cpu goto 100%.
(38 can be normal)
 
Try looking in the System (or Application) Event logs using Event Viewer to
see if there is an error message in there.

My CPU will go to 100% if I try and stop WMP downloading a file. Say I want
to give up waiting because it's too slow and try to close down the player.
It closes and everything seems ok but if I check the taskmanager processes
WMP is still there buring 97% and the machine is slow as a dog. If I kill
the process it's back to normal.
