I never had this happened before. My pc is behaving a bit odd this past few
days.
-- When downloading a program from the internet , which I always done and
never had any problems, now after 20 mnts or so the pc goes in idle mode and
hangs up the connection to the internet. Menssenger loses connection and I
have to sign in again and the download stops and ask me to run it, and
ofcourse it doesn run since the download wasnt completed. Anotherstrange
behaviour is on the internet options,Connections , LAN, the (use automatic
configuration script) keeps showing up clicked with a strange adress(
http://localhost:9100/proxy.pac )??, even after I choose the Automatically
detect settings it keeps going into the previous Use configuration script
whith the strange adress all by itself. Can anyone help me undrstand what the
heck is going on with my PC.pLEASE!

http://localhost:9100/proxy.pac indicates that you may have Google
WebAccelerator installed, remove it by uninstalling from the add/remove
programs in Control Panel

http://webaccelerator.google.com/support.html

also for the disconnection issue try
Start
Run
type
devmgmt.msc
clik OK
<Device Manager opens>
navigate to your network card and check its properties, specifically the
Power Management tab
ensure the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is
unticked.

If you still haven't found a solution for this problem, I suggest buying
Norton System Works. In that program is a place where it asks whether or not
you want to keep your internet connection open and it works. Hope this helps

Uh...yeah!!...do that!

Spend x amount of dollars on a product that may or may not work on your PC
and may or may not completely trash your windows configuration and may or
may not install or uninstall properly, all for that one option.

Well dans, thanks I think, but I wont try anymore of those system optimesers
since the last one I tried did messed up completely my configurations and
since I am not a Computer wizard I am still recovering from that and its
something that I dont advice to anyone.A lot of hours spend trying to fix my
Pc tought me a very good lesson.DElete everything you dont need or use and
have the best anti virus and the necessary updates and thats all you need.
But thaks anyway..
