my new sound card

I've put in everything so far bought from dell in my computer. This sound
card is the only thing so far not bought from dell. Anyways well lets go thru
graphics card FireGL X2 256t Workstation Graphics Accelerator card, my power
supply upgraded from 250 to 305 watts, my extra ram upgraded from 2 256's to
2 512's. So I think I can install my sound card and I've been told already to
go into my bios and disable my integrated sound on my motherboard first. Is
there any advise someone can give me? Thx for your help

Hi

If you have onboard sound to disable, have a look in the manual for the
motherboard. It should show you in there how to disable it. Also make sure
that you have the latest XP compliant drivers for your sound card from the
manufacturer's web site. Which sound card have you got.

Don't hesitate to switch to another PCI slot if you are having trouble
installing the Sound Card.
