My Network Places & Unknown Computer reference

Recently one of my Local Machine shared drives has begun appearing wit
an Unknown Computer reference and changes its icon and loses i
Comment.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\WorkgroupCrawler\Shares]

this is the key where the shared drives of the network are stored and
can delete the references to all Local Machine shared drives and whe
the My Local Network folder is again opened, it populates the share
drives correctly UNTIL I double click on one of these shared drive
icon to view its directories and then use the Explorer Back button t
view the My Local Network folder again.

Has anyone seen this problem and, better yet, has anyone a resolution?

Going on 3 whole months and not a single reply. Hmm.

Is this because no one has been affected by this occurence or maybe a lack
of knowledge in this area?

Would it make any sense for me to look here again for an issue resolution?
