My Music - XP renamed it

T

I raised this a few months ago and was unable to resolve it, so I
wonder if anyone here can suggest any solution please?

After changing a hard drive and moving partitions etc, one of the
minor but irritating consequences is that the folder which used to be
called 'D:\My Music' is now being displayed in Explorer as 'D:\Terry
Pinnell's Music'. It refuses to be renamed back to the shorter
version.

Any shortcuts to 'D:\My Music' still work correctly, so it's clearly
some sort of 'alias', regarded by XP as somehow a 'special' folder.
But surely there must be some way I can get it named as *I* want it?

Any ideas would be appreciated please.

Pleased to report that I appear to have sorted it myself thanks. I
tried deleting the desktop.ini file that was in D:\Terry Pinnell's
Music and I was delighted to see that the folder became renamed to My
Music.

I'm hoping this survives a reboot...
