MY MOUSE WONT WORK!!! PLEASE HELP

OK! Ive have Windows XP and it was fine ! I Have 2 USB
ports I use 1 for the mouse and 1 for the printer ! I
havnt used the ps/2 port for my mouse ! Then my cat cut
my mouse cord ! So I BOUGHT A NEW MOUSE ! USB OFCOURSE It
WORKED FINE ! THEN THE CAT CHEWED IT AGAIN ! I BOUGHT
ANOTHER MOUSE ! NOW NOTHING INVOLVING THE MOUSE WORKS ! I
TRIED UNINSTALLING AND REINSTALLING THE SOFTWARE ! IVE
TRIED DIFFERENT MICE ! IVE TRIED OPTICAL AND REGUALR !
AND TRIED USING THE PS/2 PORT ! NOTHING WORKS ! IF I LOOK
IN THE MOUSE SETTINGS UNDER HARDWARE IT DOSNT EVEN SHOW
ANY MOUSE WHAT SO EVER ! IVE TRIED SYSTEM RESTORE ! IVE
TRIED THE OTHER USB PORT ! EVERYTHING ELES ON THE COMP IS
FINE ! NOTHING MOUSE WORKS ! PLEASE HELP !

I know you're frustrated but PLEASE turn off your Caps Lock. It's
considered shouting, is extremely rude and makes the post difficult to read.

Since you have never used the PS/2 port, it may be disabled in the BIOS
which would result in nothing being detected. You need to read the manual
which came with your PC, find out how to enter the BIOS and check that the
it's enabled there.

Have you tried to put a mouse with the computer on?
What hapens?
