I changed the password on my user account on my laptop. My laptop has now
decided not to accept the new password or the old one. I have tried different
variations of the password and it still doesn't work. I need to access my
account as I have college stuff on it and I really need to get it. I'm
running XP and Office 2000. Please, please someone help. If I can't get it
unlocked ill have to rip out my hard drive or wipe it and I'm really not in
the mood to re-do my laptop. Please, please someone help me !! Please email
me if anyone knows was to do. My address is (e-mail address removed)

Try to make sure the Caps Locks not turned ON and try to log in Safe Mode
and change the password to something else.
Also try to Create a new profile and if the old one corrupted copy the Data
from the old one to the new profile.

Go to http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ . There you will find
zip files that will let you create boot floppy disks or bootable CDs
that will enable you to reset any system password on an NT class
operating system
