My Floppy drive (A)

Today my floopy disappeared ! It not longer shows up in my computer, in
Device manager is has a "yellow ! "next to Standard floppy disk controller
and "This device cannot start. (Code 10)". I swapped out the cable and the
floppy drive and still get the same stuff. I tryed restore and even did a
complete restore from the disk....still no floppy drive !

Any ideas ?

Check the BIOS settings to make sure the floppy controller is enabled and
set to the correct type, 1.44MB 3.5 usually.

Yeppers its in the bios and set right....I gave up late last nite and when I
turned it on today the screen stayed blank. I swapped out the power suppy,
then the CPU then the hard drives and sill a blank screen. I'm thinking the
MB is cooked now ! Its a eMachine T2200 and at least 5 years old ! Thanks
for your help but I think its time to check out whats new out there. Oh well
have some spare parts now to play with .......maybe a bare bone kit will do
! Thanks again.
