"My eBooks" directory - very annoying!

S

Sameer Doshi

I have Windows XP Home Edition. Windows insists on
creating folders called "My eBooks" and "My Music" in my
C:\ folder and My Documents folder. Every time I try to
delete them, they come back a couple days later, like
Freddy Krueger or something. The folders are always
empty, and I never use them. How can I get rid of them
permanently?

Thanks,
Sameer Doshi

Annoying little critters they are! I'm sure their is a registry hack to do
it, but here's my 2 cents worth:

Goto the command prompt and set the System and Hidden attributes to the
folders with attrib. XP Doesn't display files with those flags set from the
command line.

To get rid of it for good you can do "regsvr32 /u mydocs.dll" from the run
menu, according the www.tweakxp.com
