my delete and up/down keys dont work properly

The above keys dont operate properly, eg pressing the back key moves the
cursor down a line ; the delete key deletes the character but then moves to
the start of the line. Only the forward key operates as it should . This
happened once before but after I pressed a number of keys together it
corrected it ( cant remember which ones unfortunately) I wonder if I have
inadvertantly set up a "hot key" sequence or is the keyboard faulty?

Hi Richardg

What you describe can happen if the keyboard is damaged (eg by coffee). In
that case, buy a new keyboard.

But first, check the Windows Control Panel's regional options and make sure
your Input Language is correct.
