My Computer Problem

In My Computer, I left click on one of my drive icons and instead of going
into the open mode, it goes in to the Search mode. If I right click on one of
the drive icons, it brings up the mode window. The first thing in the list is
the Search, then Open and then Explore. The rest of the list is correct, all
the way down to Properties.

How can I get to the point where I click on the drive icon and I get into
explore the drive? If that gts fixed, I believe the right click list will
change so open, then explore is first in the list.

How about this one?
I have a non boot drive icon that looks like the icon for a thumb drive. How
can I change it back to the default icon that looks like a drive.

My op system is winxp home.
