My Computer keeps restarting

My computer keeps restarting. When Windows Xp is running for about 15 minutes
it will reboot. This happens once or twice every time I turn on the computer.
So if i decided to shut down the computer and turn it on again it will
restart again by itself once or twice and does not happen again as long on i
am on th computer.

I tried checking the fan
I unchecked the automatic restart
I set not to do anything for the Remote Procedural
In the power option in control pannel I set the energy scheme to never do
anything.

I tried all these above. Any other suggestions.

Hi

Do you see any error messages at all? If not, have a look in the Event
Viewer to see if any entries there may point towards the problem.

In the Event log viewer what i have noticed is that the exact time the
computer restarts it self the error called "Service Control Manager" is
recorded in the event log

Hi

Could you please post the Event ID from Event Viewer? Unchecking
'Automatically Restart' doesn't produce a Blue Screen?

No I do not get a blue screen.
Right now I am on another computer.
When i get home I will post the Event Viewer
I think I remember there is another error that was being posted on the
Viewer. Something called UPS I think.

When i get on my system I will let you know.

Do you think is because I installed MS office 2000 that It affected the
system to reboot automatically?
