my computer keeps reseting itself

I posted this message yesterday and was advised to turn off the automatic reset on windows in order to get a code but no luck. My computer keeps reseting itself. It happens sometimes when i'm doing nothing or when trying to open pdf files.

Sounds like the Blaster worm is on your computer. Go to
microsoft.com and it will tell you how to remove it.

i ran a worm scan from symantec and the worm is not on my computer. However I am still having the problem where my coputer keeps reseting?

If it is not a worm, and it is not producing a BSOD, then the problem is
most likely in your hardware. Might be as simple as a loose cable, or as
complex as a bad power supply. Or bad or mis-matched RAM. Or a failing
hard drive. Or...

Do you have a trustworthy computer repair shop handy?

By the way, it will help us to follow the conversation ("thread") if you
