My Computer folder takes minutes to open

My Computer folder takes minutes to open but only that folder, the c drive
and all other sub folders of "My Computer" open fine after the few minutes
wait.

Im using Windows XP Home Edition on a Dell Dimension 8400.

If the slowdown is general, try cleaning out your temporary files and
defragment the drive.
