I have aproblem openning MyComputer and the internet explorer.
When doubel clicking one of those icons it take about 1 minute the be opend.
All other programs are opened immediately.
The last component i have installed was the driver for Cannon S200 printer.
I tried to uninstall it but nothing was changed.
Can it be something with the network definitions?

Thanks.

Haven't investigated this yet on Windows XP (which is brand new to me).
However, under Windows 2000, you could configure whether to reconnect to all
mapped drives; otherwise, they would get reconnected when needed. However,
opening Explorer with a bunch of mapped/network drives probably forces a
reconnect to them all. So you probably need to hunt for an option to
reconnect when you login (which may slowdown login during the reconnects).
I don't remember if it was a property of the mapping to the network drive or
if it was some policy option you could set.

Okay, after a search at http://support.microsoft.com/ (try it and you'll
find lots of KB articles that might be appropriate to your problem), I
found:

HOW TO: Connect and Disconnect a Network Drive in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=308582

where it says, "..., and then specify whether or not you want to reconnect
every time you log on to your computer." So be sure you specify to
reconnect so you don't end up having to do them all at once when you're
trying to open an application that forces all the reconnects (or delays
while trying to reconnect to send passwords).
