My CD Drive will not eject

I'm trying to use my CD ROM hard drive and it will not eject. No light is
showing on the driver but my computer says that it is working fine. I've
tried ejecting it using a DVD cinema programme but it doesn't do it then
either.
What could be the problem and how do I solve it?
Please help, I'm bored and DVD's are the only thing I can watch because I
don't have a TV.

Hope to get some responses soon

If you have a disk stuck inside, then use a straightened out paper clip and
insert it into the small hole on the front faceplate. You can then retrieve
your disk.

Unfortunately optical drives do not last forever. It sounds as if yours has
died.
