MVP?

This may seem like a sill question but What does MVP stand for? I am sure it
is some type of certification as what I consider the better answers usualy
come from an MVP.

Also what did you have to do to become an MVP?

Just think it may help some of us newbies. Might also give us a future goal:)

Thanks

"Most Valuable Professional"

Totally up to Microsoft. It is not something you apply for. Basically it is a
recognition of "contributions to technical communities". For many (like myself)
that consists mostly of answering questions in these groups, but one can be
recognized for other activites as well.

To both Rick and Jeff,
Thanks for the responses. They were very informitive. Now that I know what
MVP stands for it will help me evaluate responses etc.

Also thanks for the help you and the others have provided me and the other
less informed users of this group.

MVP unofficial motto. "MVPs answer the questions MCSEs ask."
Also thanks for the help you and the others have provided me and the other
less informed users of this group.

And thanks for your comments. They make the effort worth while.
