Mustek 1200UB scanner: problem with non-admin accts

I've installed a Mustek 1200UB scanner (USB) on my Windows 200 Pro box
Everything is right if I login as "administrator", but if I login as a normal user (I usually do this) the scanner doesn't run and I get this message: "disconnected cable" and then another one about some TWAIN problem (don't remember it exactly now)
I've tried changing some file and registry permissions but the problem is still there. Please help me

And the reply was!

"I'd got simmilar problem with PLUSTEK ST12.
But, if I set permission for registry key:
"HKLM\Software\Scanner Information" to
"full control" for all users, the scanner start
to work for users with restricted rights, too.
"

Hope this helps.

Sure, this was my first step... =

There is no helpful info there (FAQ, etc). So I tried to dowload the latest driver from Mustek's main site (USA), but it is truncated. After that I tried to download the driver from Mustek's Twain site (4 files) but the instalation fails with an I/O error message when it is copying files to my System folder..

I have 20 scanners like this to install and no clue on how to get them working without using an admin account... Any help, pleeese?

I suspect that with 20 sales on the line the vendor would be more
helpful. Who were you going to buy them from. The other way would to be
to track all the changes made in the registry by an install to "admin"
and pick thru them and fix them for a "non admin" Like they say tho time
is money so a different scanner might be cheaper in the long run.
