Music won't play

I have used PowerPoint many times. I edited some music using Sound Forge and
placed it in my presentation. The first one worked ok. The second one won't
play. I can play the clip using media player but can not hear it in the
Presentation. Please help.

Thanks for the information, but I added the sound exactly as it said and it
won't play.

Make a new presentation and insert the sound that doesn't play. Does the
'unplayable sound' play in the new presentation?
Also, create a new folder and move the sound files and ppt into the folder.
Re-insert and try again.

It's still not playing. Even tho I can play it in media player. If I attach
the whole song to the presentation (before I edit it in Sound Forge), it
plays, but I don't want to do that because then I can't fade it out as the
next song starts to play. I have done many presentations and never had this
problem before.

Can you email me the sound file and presentation to

Replace [at] with @ and [dot] with .

Choose Tools, Options and go to the General tab.
Set the value next to "Link sounds with file size greater than" to 50000 kb.
Re-insert the wav file so that it can be embedded.
