music in presentation, button to start en stop the music

Need help.

How to do this?

I have this presentation, let's say 20 slides.......................
I want some music in it, i use a loop (.wav), this file plays all the time in the presentation, that's easy.

But now i want some kind of button to stop the music and the same button is also ment to start the music again

This button must be placed on every slide so people can switch off and turn on the music whenever they want to do that.

Somebody? Thanks in advance!

If you put the sound file on the master along with a button.

Change the custom animation from PLAY to PAUSE and set a trigger (the
button) to activate

What should happen is the pres will start without music . Music will start
or stop every time the button is clicked on any slide

If this isnt clear get back.

Hi Max,

Ellen Finkelstein has an excellent tutorial on her website on how to start
and stop movies with buttons:
http://www.ellenfinkelstein.com/powerpoint_tip_movie_buttons.html

This works with music, too. Use WAV or MP3 for best results, it will not
work with MIDI files.

Best regards,
Ute
