Music in a powerpoint

I have inserted a midi file into a powerpoint presentation, but it is not
advancing automatically. When I remove the sound, it advances
automatically...but when I put the sound back in, the sound will play, but
the slides do not advance. What am I missing???

Go to Custom Animation.
Double click on the play effect to bring up the effect options.
Select "Stop Playing after XXX slides". Put 999 in the box to allow your
midi to play throughout the slides. See if it works this time round.

Go to Custom Animation.

Thanks for your help. I got it working yesterday, but today, I burned the
presentation to a disk, and am unable to hear the sound on another computer.
I've already checked the speakers on the other computer, so I know that's not
it. I saved it from the disk to the laptop, and tho it shows the sound icon,
it will not play the music. Any ideas??

The music is more than likely linked, and must accompany the presentation. What type of music file are we talking about?
