I have a lot of pieces of music files that I undeleted and I am told they are
missing "Codecs". Is it possible for me repair these files so I can play them
on my wmp. Thank you James

Not sure why deleting the music files would also delete their codecs.
You shouldn't have to repair the files, you need to figure out what
codecs are missing and add them to wmp?

Do you get an error code with details as to which codecs are missing?

What version of Windows Media Player are we talking about?

Thank you JD for responding. I get errorCOOD1199. It tells me to use
"newreader" to combine the file. I'll try that when I find out what it means.

I've seen binaries that came in parts that had to be combined so I guess
music files could come that way also?
