Multiply 2 columns

Hi, I'd appreciate anyone's help with this, I'm not a real
experienced Excel function user, but can't you multiply
column a to column b, against each other, row by row, by
performing one function? I've been copying the function
for one row down to get the whole column... Thanks for
your help!

=SUMPRODUCT(A2:A400,B2:B400)

SumProduct does not admit whole columns like A:A and B:B as reference
arguments.
