Multiple users in outlook

Hi I have been searching the discussion pages and I am just a bit confused.
I need to set up one computer so that it has two or more users ID. members
of staff plus a guest account.
the members of staff will have access to the exchange server.
I am looking for how to set this up. and I found the following:
"Option1
Create new User Acoounts for each user and create passwords for them. When a
particular user logs in, they will have their own Outlook data. "

does this means I will go into control panel and set up the two users
accounts?
just want to be sure before I start working on it.

i can see that once I have two or more users accounts I can then set up
outlook.

otherwise would it be possible for just one login into the computer not
password, but when outlook fires up there is a prompt for the username and
password?

That's what I'd do: I'd create a Windows login for each person. But this
begs another question: since you're using an Exchnage server, aren't you
already using Active Directory for authentication, with each user having his
or her own AD account? If so, why is your PC not a part of the domain so
that it can use the same AD credentials for logging into WIndows as for
logging into Exchange?

so if I decide to go with the multiple users I will just use control panel
in windows, set up the users, then set up outlook on each one as individual
mailbox. this correct?
have set up outlook for one single user on their own computers but now we
doing more working form home and more staff about the office and we just
haven't got the space for a computer each (or the finance!)

yes, if you prefer one windows logon. Its more secure if you use different
windows logon for each user though.

HI Brian
at the moment th particular workstation that started this line of throught
is used by two three users.
One member of staff using outlook on the desktop, another only accessing his
e-mail as web based and other volunteers (who have a google account and
access email online)

what i want to do is to give access to outlook on the desktop plus give
access to volunteers to use the workstation to work on, but set it up so that
they cannot save anything to the hard drive (this bring in another question,
how do I limit their 'saving' abilities? all volunteer have a 1GB pen-drive
so they can work on any computer which happens to be free.)

from here I would like for all computers in the office to have a guest
account so that volunteers cannot access the 'official' users file as they
might contain 'private' information they just should not have access to.

hope this makes it clear. as you can gather we have a rather mismash set up
and I am rather fed up of people coming to me asking to fix things out,
unfortunately I am on a steep learning curve on windows....as I work on my
Mac most of the time!
