Multiple Users- auto update?

Hi,

I set up a database using Splitting (the info on the discussion boards is
EXTREMELY helpful!) I've record level locking which locks just the edited
record, and users open it as shared. I just had a question about updates.. If
I update a record, or add a record, when would another use be able to see it?
Do they have to open the database again?

They will see the changes when the data is "refreshed" That happens
when a query is run or the table is opened or a form is opened or report
run.
