multiple sub reports on a single report

I have a report that consists of multiple sub-reports. Actually, the
original report had only two reports side by side. The report on the left
side of the page is always longer than the report on the right side;
however, both reports always fit on a single page.

I have wanted to add a third sub-report to ride side of the page just under
the original report on the ride side. The result would be one report on the
left that spans almost the entire length of the page and two reports on the
right side of the page that would only span about half the page.

The problem:

When I add the third sub-report and preview the entire report, the third
sub-report does display on the right side but it always starts below where
the sub-report on the left side stops. The end result is a large gap
between the ride side sub-reports and the third sub-report on the right side
spills over onto a second page.

Any suggestions on how to keep the two reports on the ride side from being
split apart by the single report on the left side?

Is the top of the new subreport on the right, higher than the bottom of the
subreport on the left?

no, if I were to slide the bottom report on the right all the way over to
the left it would just fit under the existing report on the left.

I changed the length of the sub-report on the left to be as long as the two
reports on the right. It all fits now.
