Is it possible to add another Optical desk 700 keyboard and mouse _adjacent_
to an existing set with both systems working without interference from each
other ?

Would this also be the case for any combination of Microsoft wireless desk
sets (not including bluetooth) ?

Nope, not possible. Radio transmission = one set per user per radio range.
