How would I go about purchasing a second and third
license for Win XP Home? I want to use XP on a pair of
new machines, but dont want to pay retail price on two
redundant retail packages if I can just buy additional
licenses.

Although you can buy additional licenses, they aren't a great
deal. You're almost certainly better off buying two complete
extra copies from a discount source.

there is a major flaw in your plan, microsoft wont give
you much if any discount on the second and third license
indeed they may charge you more than a second retail
license.
