Multiple IE browsers for testing

Is it possible to run multiple versions of IE on the same computer? say for
example 5.5, 6 and 7b? I need to test the differences with between the
browsers for various websites. If I try renaming the IE folder it says it
may cause problems so I have been hesitant about that. Does any boby have
any other ideas?

You cannot install more than one version of IE on each bootable partition of
a hard drive. This is due to file sharing between the OS and IE. What you
will have to do is to format your hard drive into multiple partitions,
installing a version of Windows and a version of IE that the OS supports on
each partition.

These programs can help you with this matter:

Partition Magic - http://www.powerquest.com/partitionmagic/
BootIT NG - http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/bootitng.html
Partition Commander - http://www.v-com.com/

However, IE 4 and 5 can exist together in some form:
