multiple game controler issue

Hi,

I have a Thrustmaster gamepad (usb) and a MS Sidewinder
steering wheel on my Winxp system. On many games, such
as Beetle Crazy Cup for example, I have a choice of
keyboard or gamepad. It does not give me the choice to
use the steering wheel. Before I bought the gamepad, I
could use the steering wheel. Do I need to unplug the
gamepad from the USB port for the Wheel to work? I know
this works but it is a pain having to unplug it and I was
wondering if there was a way to use the wheel without
unplugging the gamepad.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Chatman,

Another possibility would be to go into Control Panel /
Game Controllers / click the Advanced button, and
select the wheel as your "Preferred device".

Hope this helps! :)

Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for the advice. I tried it but no go. Seems the
only way to use the wheel is to unplug the gamepad.
Thanks anyway :)
