multiple copies of pps sent to recipients

Whenever I send a pps to anyone by email they get multiple emails containing
the same attachment. How do I stop this and be able to only send ONE copy?
Thanks

How are you sending the file -- what steps are you going through? Also, what
email application are you using?

I save it as a pps, click file, send to, mail recipient as attachment. Email
is outlook express.
Thanks

Thanks. Try saving as PPS, opening Outlook Express, Create Mail, and then
click the paper clip icon to attach the file.

Thanks, that worked. But WHY would they then have the send to recipient
option in program if it does not work properly? Even their 'help' tells you
to send it by clickiing file, send to, recipient as attachment? Makes you
want to go screaming down the hallway :)

Yeah, I hear you. There's a lot of stuff about PPT that makes me go
screaming down the hallway!

For what it's worth, it's not a common problem for PPT to send multiple
files when you use Send that way. But I've no idea what the problem is, so I
think sending from within OE instead is the best workaround at this point.

Hopefully someone else will pop in with a real solution!

Your problem, Robin, is that MS knows where you want to go today but YOU have
chosen not to want to go there. ;-)

I think this feature wants to work with Outlook. Period.

If it'd be really useful to have this feature work as described, I suspect you
could set up a mail profile in Outlook (you'd want to teach it how to send mail
but one way or another prevent it from picking up your waiting mail, either by
telling it never to check for mail or by feeding it a bogus POP3 server name).
