Our company recently upgraded from a Linux based IMAP mail server to Exchange
2003. Prior to the upgrade, everything was simple in that I had one set of
contacts, one calendar, one to do list, etc. When we upgraded, I copied all
of the stuff that was in the default Outlook calendar, contacts, etc to the
Exchange mail folder. So, now, I have two sets of calendars, to do lists,
contacts, etc. What I'd like to do is to eliminate the old calendar,
contacts, etc folders that are now empty. When I try to do this, Outlook
tells me that I can't delete these folders because they are special folders
and special folders can't be deleted. Is there any way to delete them so
that the calendars in Exchange become the only ones there? I lieu of that,
is there a way to set it up so that the Exchange calendar is the default
calendar so that it comes up when calendar is selected as the view rather
than the old calendar? Thanks in advance for any assistance that can be
provided.
