Multi-line ActiveX textbox

Sue

I've recently had my email upgraded to BT Yahoo.

Now I can't send any mail as I can't get the cursor into
the message body box. The helpdesk say my multi-line text
box activeX control is corrupt. They suggest installing
from the BT Yahoo registration disk.

I'm on service pack 1 with Internet Explorer 6. I have all
the latest critical patches installed and some of the
recommended. I can't see any patch related to this problem
on the update centre. I don't want to go backwards
security wise. I want a Microsoft solution.

Can't see how to refresh my activeX controls from
Microsoft.

Any suggestions? Thanks

I'm concerned that anything I pick up from a registration
disk will be out of date security wise. Do I install from
the security disk and then get the latest updates from
Microsoft?

Sue;

I would assume that the multi-line text box activeX control
is a BT Yahoo item not a Microsoft item.

ActiveX controls are stored here >>
C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files

You can access this by.....
IE | Tools | Internet Options | General tab |
Settings button | View Objects button |
Right click multi-line text box activeX control |
Properties |
You should see something about who made it.
Right click also has Update & Remove.

Any mail problems would be best addressed by BT Yahoo.
They are your ISP. You are paying them. They should
help you with your service problems.
