Multi level numbering

How do I delete current multi level numbering lists that are in the library?
Also I want to set up a new multi level list what is the best way to do this?

What does the legal document check box do to a list?

To delete a list format, you can right-click it in the library and then
choose Remove from the context menu.

If you want to restore the default formats, exit Word and then delete the
ListGal.dat file in your user profile; as you restart Word, the factory
default settings will be recreated. (To find ListGal.dat, you can search for
it in Windows; be sure to search hidden files and folders.)

this?

In order to create a custom list format, do the following: On the Home tab
of the ribbon, click Multilevel List, and then click Define New List Style.
Type a name for the style. Click Format, and then click Numbering; Word
displays a dialog box where you will be able to define all aspects of
numbering, including number formats, indentation, and so on, for each
numbering level (you may have to click the More button to see all options of
the dialog box). It is also recommended that you associate each level of
numbering with a paragraph style.

Once created, the list style will be shown at Home tab | Multilevel List
(under "List Styles"). You can click its icon whenever you want to apply the
style. But assuming that you associated each level of numbering with a
paragraph style, it will be easier to apply the paragraph style directly.

To edit a list style, use the Manage Styles dialog box (in the Styles pane,
click the Manage Styles button).
What does the legal document check box do to a list?

It forces Arabic numbers for the level where the option is selected.
