Purpose: For running games that will not run in Windows XP 256 color mode under Windows 9

I have 2 hard drives. Hard Drive #1 OS Windows 9
Hard Drive #2 OS Windows X

Muilti-Boot works correctly

Problem: On the Windows 98 drive; Windows 98 runs in 16 color mode. I cannot adjust color settings to 256 or 32 bit color mode. Monitor is a flat screen. Have reinstalled Windows 98 but that does not fix the problem. Have reinstalled motherboard VGA software still getting 16 colors

Have ran games do run in XP 256 color for a short time then they freeze up. The game locks up the computer and tries to memory dump.

Make sure you have Win98 display drivers for Win98 and XP drivers for XP.

As for the latter mention, some programs/games won't run with more than 512
set in Boot.ini. If this is not the case and you are recieving a serious
error message:

Use one of the three options.

Right Click the My Computer Icon/Properties/Advanced/
Performance/Settings/Advanced/Change. Set Page File to 0, ok your way out
and reboot. Then follow the same procedure and reset the Page File to
System Managed File.

Right Click the My Computer Icon/Properties/Advanced/
Performance/Advanced/Virtual Memory/Change/No Page File. Reboot. Then
delete C:\Pagefil.Sys then revert the page file setting.

Right Click the My Computer Icon/Properties/Advanced/
Performance/Advanced/Virtual Memory/Change. Set the swap file size to zero,
reboot. Re-set to System Managed, reboot. Reset the Custom setting,
reboot.
