MSys tables

Recently I have had undeletable tables added to my list of tables. I'm
trying to find out why they should have suddenly appeared. Each begins with
MSys (MSysAccess Objects, MSysAccess XML, MSysACEs, MSysObjects, MSysQueries,
and MSysRelationships). In Access 2003 is there some switch I have
inadvertently turned on that generates these tables regardless of the
database opened? Haven't been able to find anything in the Helps.

Those tables are present in all Access databases. You definitely do not want
to delete them: your database will cease to work if you do. It's not a case
that you'd set a switch which generates those tables: it's a case that
you've changed a property so that they're visible.

Look under Tools | Options. On the View tab, you'll see a number of
checkboxes in the "Show" option group. Ensure that System Objects isn't
checked.

Hi,

They're system tables used by MS Access and shouldn't be deleted. If you
want to hide them, go to Tools>Options from the main menu. Once there, select
the View tab, and remove the tick from the System objects checkbox.
