MSWord Markup

When I send a word document by email to another individual, the markup
function is always activated. How do I turn the markup function off
permanently so that the markup information is not displayed when someone else
opens the document. I have tried closing the document first before emailing
but this does not seem to work.

Your best solution is to not send a document which contains markup. Word
defaults to showing markup on a computer that the document has not been "to"
yet, but will hold the setting when the document has been closed on that
computer.

If you don't want the recipient to see the markup - you have two choices:
1 - send a clean document (all markup accepted or deleted)
2 - send a PDF document.
