msrt32.dll error message

When I boot up my computer a msrt32.dll error message pops
up . A file or component is not found. Above it, it
references "svchost.exe. I can click OK and it goes away
and the computer seems to work OK. Could a virus have
caused this? I got a virus alert message on my virus
software but when I scanned the computer, no virus was
found. Any suggestions on how to get rid of this annoying
window at startup?

What did the virus alert message say? You may find it in your virus
software logs. Something is calling this file at startup. Be sure your
antivirus program definitions are up-to-date, and scan for spyware with
Spybot Search & Destroy from www.security.kolla.de and Ad-aware from
www.lavasoftusa.com. Be sure to update these programs before running
them. It is best to run antivirus and spyware removal tools in Safe
Mode. These tools are free, so run them both since they tend to
complement each other.

File msrt32.dll is not standard windows file. It could be either virus or
more likely spyware. So do virus scan and then get and use spyware scanner.
