MSN Video just a black box

I cannot view any MSN video. I am running Win2000 with IE6 (latest update),
WMP9. I updated my video card (NVidia GeForce 6200) drivers to the latest
version, reinstalled DirectX9.0c, reinstalled WMP9, downloaded teh lateset
codecs (as far as aI know they're the latest) and I still cannot view any
video on MSN or any video embedded in a web page in IE. WMP works fine when
viewing videos I've downloaded but when embedded it only shows a blackbox
and plays the sound. Any ideas?

Did they work before you began your upgrading spree?

Did you ask in the Windows 2000 NGs? These are for XP.

No, that's why I tried upgrading. Not really sure when it stopped working
or what I might have done to cause it to stop working.

No, there is no Windows2000 Video group

Hey, I lost the ability to view streaming video from the internet, too. I
had been having problems accessing the internet after some power outages in
the area and had to reconfigure my broadband connection. Now, I can't see
the video. I click on launch and it opens the window for video.msn.com
etc., but it never loads. Did you find out what the problem is? I have
been trying all day to fix this myself.
