Hi teeny :)

You don't mention the version of Windows you are using, which really is a
must when asking for help in the newsgroups, but, try the following as it
may apply to your OS and see if it helps:

Read the information here first:
http://spaces.msn.com/mail-support/
http://spaces.msn.com/mailcall/

Please click on this link http://aumha.org/mydetail.htm and paste the
Browser/OS information in your next reply.

Hope this helps.

OK...then you know that you have IE6, and therefore, you do have the
required browser.

It does not appear to be an IE problem, but, a problem with the beta
program. If you went to the first link that I posted for you, you will see
the following announcement:

New help to opt-out

Some users have encountered problems trying to log into the Windows Live
Mail beta. For this we apologize; we are working hard to make sure that the
beta is reliable and performs well and we promise to have these problems
fixed before we launch the service formally. Please understand that this is
a beta product and we are working diligently to improve it every day.

For users who are unable to get logged in successfully, here are
instructions which will allow you to opt out of the beta and return to
classic Hotmail. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

1. Log in to your account as you normally would. At this point you may get
a partially loaded screen or other symptoms (bottom line is what you don't
get: your e-mail). In order to opt out, you need to replace the end of the
URL in your address bar AFTER you have tried logging in. You will replace
all the text after "/mail/" (see screen shot).

Click the small picture below to see the full screenshot.

To opt out of the beta:

3. In your browser address bar, replace the end of the address with:
options.aspx?subsection=9 (your URL will look something like:
http://by107w.bay107.mail.live.com/mail/options.aspx?subsection=9)

4. Hit enter

This will take you to the opt out page. Opting out will return you to the
classic Hotmail interface
************************************************
Thus, I would say that you should opt-out of the Beta at this time and
return to your regular Hotmail until they can get the problem figured out
and fixed.
Sorry, Im not very computer literate!
Thanks. :)

Not a problem. :)

Hope this helps.

No...obviously, I am the one confused. I was under the assumption that you
had the Windows Live Mail, as others are having the same type of problem
with very similar problems right now. If that is not correct, then please
accept my apology for the errant information.

Jan,

I think that that is the right idea but doesn't go far enough.
E.g. the aumha diagnostic only shows the User-Agent which *should*
be transmitted. It doesn't show what actually is transmitted
or more importantly what may be received by a remote site.

That's why I suggest such users use the FiddlerTool diagnostic instead.
E.g. it proves whether or not the expected User-Agent is arriving too.

FYI
