MSN 7 Messenger crashes when loading, GPF error? Can anyone help me?

I kept getting messages to upgrade from MSN 6 to 7. A few days ago I decided
to finally upgrade. MSN will not load now. As it is loading I get,

I am not a computer guy, I have no idea what this means and how to fix it.

I am running '98 with a 1700 MHz AMD and 512 meg of RAM.

Can someone please help?

The macxw4.drv is from your ATI video card (most likely).

What video card do you have, and have you downloaded up to date drivers from
ATI for your video card (if that's who it is from)?
