Msjava.dll Problem

Hi folks,

The Microsoft Java Virtual Machine in my installation of Windows is missing
a key .dll - msjava.dll. I believe this .dll got purged or corrupted when
installing a Microsoft update. For the last six months I have experienced a
couple hundred error messages, mostly from WIN32 Services stating a generic
error of some kind and wanting to send data to Microsoft. I have experienced
applications crashing and spontaneous reboots. This has happened both before
and after I reformatted my hard drive and reloaded Windows XP, including SP2.
Has something changed in Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 that
would have disabled, removed or corrupted this particular .dll? If I cannot
get this resolve I will have to buy a brand new copy (full version) of the OS
to resolve (if this does resolve the issue). Any suggestions? Thanks.

Have a look at the installation check, which will advise you regarding your
java.

There is also a forum link if required.
On the side you'll note there's an option for an installation check.

Personally I got rid of MJVM and went for the Sun version:

As for the other problems, any clues in the Event Viewer?
