Hello guys.. this is my first time to be in the forum. I need help ASAP.
First, this is the Specification of my laptop:
Operation: Windows XP SP 2
Processor: Pentium IV 2.20 GHz
RAM: 256 MB
Video Card: On Board 32 MB
Laptop: Compaq Presario 1500
Antivirus: AVG 7.5 free Edition
Anti Spyware: AVG Anti Spy-ware

I found "threat detected" (By AVG Antivirus) on this files:
1. msi.exec
2. mycomput.dll

Both files are on C:\Windows\System32

The AVG Antivirus provide 2 solution:
1. Delete File
2. Move to Vault

the problem is when i choose either of the options, the message displayed:
"you don't have any access on this file".

How do i solve this problem? Because of this problem, my laptop keep displaying blue screen when i use internet.

Thanks before

the best anti virus, utilities, anti-spyware

hi there...

thanks for replying my question.

i've checked with both of the link that you've given and the result was surprising. Because no threat detected!

Seems that the AVG is not good enough to handle are the security issues on my laptop.

Because of that, i have a question (three i guess..)

what is the most suitable and the best anti virus that i can installed on my laptop? Since i dont have lots of money, please give me the freeware  ....

I'm using tune up utilities 2007. Is that good enough for my laptop? or is there any second opinion?

my AVG anti-spyware trial have expired since 3 days ago... so, is there any anti-spyware (freeware would be great ) that i can use?

thanks...

There ain't one ... but, AntiVir Personal Edition is at least free.

NOD32 is what I would recommend as an AV for a laptop.

This "program" does nothing to protect your system from nasties ... you can do all it does yourself, if you learn how to use XP

so, is there any anti-spyware ... free
SpywareBlaster, SuperAntispyware, SpyBotSearch&Destroy ... see our 'stickie' in this forum on recommended software.
